The options considered will be available depending on the initial funding of the project.
As funds become available, other options may be implemented.
The battery option
This option will allow you to make your Diskio Pi machine transportable. Battery packs are custom-made, and deliver a current of 7.4V. As the technology used is LiPo (lithium polymer), an internal electronic circuit is used to improve safety and prevent short circuits.
This option, consisting of 3 packs (6 LiPo cells), is delivered with a gauge card. This gauge will operate with a micro-switch button and activate an RGB (multicolored) LED that will change color according to the charge level of the cells. As this map has not yet been developed, the funding will also be used to study this map.
The capacity of each pack is 3500 mAh, so a total of 10500 mAh will be available to run the screen and a Raspberry Pi about 10 hours, or 8h30 hours in charge.

The cooling option
This option is still under development. It will take the form of a 25x25mm radiator, and a 5V or 12V fan. The advantage of the 12V, powered by 7.4V~9V will be to reduce the noise compared to the current 5V which is relatively noisy at high speed.
The sensor system is already in use, the sensor used has the reference KTY81/121 (Datasheet)
Another solution (only Raspberry Pi 3) would be to choose a passive radiator, which uses a large area of the board without being too high. This product exists on eBay, it could also be distributed by Diskio Pi.
It is always possible to combine this cooler with a flat fan for optimum cooling. The cost would be higher, depending on the fan chosen. Other systems exist, free for the user to choose the lowest possible and most efficient solution !
The VESA option
This option will be a custom-made metal plate, VESA 75 compatible.
Mounting: with 5 screws on the shell, including 4 screws with nuts.
Currently, it has not yet been prototyped. Samples must be made to test the strength of the plastic and the overall strength of the assembly.
The SATA option
Always in preparation, this option will include:
- SATA to USB 3.1 converter PCB
- Rubber corners

Compatible discs will be either HDDs or SSDs. However, it will require a consumption of less than 1A.
